^{I just read about your ratties. (at the rat club.) I guess it's probably old news now but I have to let you know I have deepest sympathies for you. I know exactly how you feel. Last year I had the same thing happen to my two babies. (Though the house fire was not an accident.) I cried for ages.
But thankfully the pain does go away and you can always remember the good memories.
I hope the pain leaves quickly. There's more rats out there that need love.}

Oh, dearheart, I just read about your rats! I know how you feel, when I came home to find Mort and Shiver dead it was heart breaking. I won't say that the pain will go away, it won't in any literal sense, but it will change - you'll become even more loving, more caring, more gentle with any future ratties. This hurts now, but it will make you stronger. If ever you need someone to talk to, just send me a note and I'll send you my phone number and email address, I'm always available for talking.
